Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman has highly appreciated the results of the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation's visit to the Kingdom of Sweden.

In his interview for the press in Stockholm on Tuesday, Groysman noted he had a number of meetings at the Swedish Riksdag [the Parliament], and met with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Lofven. At the meetings, the Parties discussed a number of issues, in particular, domestic reforms in Ukraine. "I was assured of Sweden's commitment to support Ukraine in all fields, inter alia, the ones relatedthe assessment of actions linked to Russia's aggression, sanctions against it, and the ones touching the Minsk agreements implementation," he said.

Besides, Groysman said the Parties also noted the importance of fighting against corruption in Ukraine. "Corruption for Ukraine is not lesser evil than Russia's tanks, its troops and weapons, as the corruption is a result of the centralized system created in Ukraine over the last 24 years. Corruption can ruin our statehood, therefore, further positive changes in our country are of our priority. We have 100% support from Sweden and its Government. That support adds us strength and helps us continue fighting the independent democratic Ukraine," he noted.

Groysman also said that at the meetings with Swedish officials, they discussed "controlled armed attacks of the Russian Federation or the militants in the east of Ukraine."

"The most important is that we agreed that even the latest events in Paris would not make Ukraine's issue less important," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said. He noted that "our Swedish partners support Ukraine and assure that all the efforts of the European Union in assisting Ukraine will not be minimized."

Groysman said that at the meetings with Swedish parliamentarians, the Parties agreed that the sanctions against Russia would depend on its willingness to adhere to the Minsk agreements.
